AVID/SRAM, Formula & Hayes Disc Brake Bleed Kit

Compatible with AVID/SRAM MTB & Road DOT fluid braking systems (standard threaded fittings & Bleeding Edge adaptor), plus most Formula & Hayes branded brakes.

What's in the Kit

• 2 x 30ml Syringes
• 2 x Metal adapters, tubing, tube clamps & syringe locking adapters for an airtight assembly
• 1 x Bleeding Edge Adaptor — suits 2017+ AVID/SRAM braking systems with the S4 caliper
• 1 x Universal Brake Bleed Block with rotor truing tool
• 1 x T10 Torx Tool
• 1 x Pair of nitrile (latex-free) gloves
• Optional: 1 or 2 x 100ml DOT 5.1 Brake Fluid
• Shop towel for clean-ups (included when purchasing with fluid)

About the Fluid

DOT 5.1 fluid is compatible with all DOT fluid systems, including DOT 3 and DOT 4. It offers a higher boiling point to prevent power loss on long descents, better low-temperature performance, and reduced service intervals.

100ml of fluid is enough for 2–3 standard bleeds of front and rear brakes. If your fluid hasn't been replaced in over 2 years, we recommend a full flush for optimal braking performance — a complete front and rear flush uses approximately 100ml.

Good to Know

This kit is NOT compatible with -

DB8 and Maven: Use different fittings and require Mineral Oil, not DOT fluid. See our SRAM Mineral Oil Bleed Kit for those models.

Formula Cura: The Bleed Kit is suitable but not Dot 5.1 Brake Fluid.   Formula Cura use Formula branded Mineral Oil.
